Brown Bag Show and Tell
For several years, I have giving Brown Bag Show and Tell as the first homework assignment of the year. Kamesha Brown, a teacher friend from Arab, gave me the idea. I have been using this idea to get my students excited about school. It is also a great chance for me to learn more about each student. The students also enjoy getting to know about one another.
The project allows students to collect objects in different categories that tell about themselves. They also have to make sure the object fits in the bag. My class this year did a fantastic job and I learned so much about them! I have a wonderful bunch of second graders this year!
